| Responsibilities: |
This position is located at Fort Stewart, Hinesville, GA. The project involves construction materials testing associated with the building of a one half million square foot warehouse. You will be involved with field observation, inspection, testing and sampling of concrete, grout, masonry, structural steel; and perhaps soil, aggregates and asphalt placement as project needs dictates; as well as other administrative duties. The initial focus of the position will be on buildings related projects. Daily communication is required with site contractors, other technicians and project managers. Provided training: ECS will train candidates in our methodology to perform observations, inspections and tests of building construction projects and to document findings in accordance with accepted engineering practice, but you should have a sound understanding of building construction practices. As experience increases, ECS will encourage and aid technicians in increasing level of competence and skills through internal training programs and external programs of certification provided by ACI, ASNT, AWS, ICC, NICET, NRCA, RCI, State DOT, WACEL and others.

| Qualifications: |
- Qualified candidates will have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Associates degree strongly preferred. Recent graduates with a bachelors degree and EIT certification will also be considered.
- 2-3+ years of related construction/materials testing experience.
- Certification - ACI Level II in masonry, steel and reinforced concrete highly desirable.
- Technician Certification - Radiation safety for nuclear density gauge, basic concrete and basic soils certifications. One certification is required within 90 days of hire; all three are required within 180 days of hire.
- For advancement to a more senior technician or specialty technician/inspector position, you should have the above basic certifications plus some of the following: Level II Concrete, Level I Foundation, Level I Fireproofing, Structural Concrete and Structural Masonry certifications. Alternatively, certification as a CWI, RRO or other certifications in UT, MT, VT would be required.
- Solid communication skills (both written and verbal) required.
